John Arthur Mullenix, 36, of Norwich, beloved husband of 8 years to Eugenia Vagman Mullenix, passed away on January 27, 2018. Born on June 1, 1981 in Milford, CT, he was the son of Tom and Laurie LeMere Mullenix. 

John was an artist. He took classic illustrations and put his own twist on them to turn them into horror scenes. He enjoyed horror films and was also an avid anime fan. John was a Disney enthusiast, a passion that he shared with his son, and had visited the parks 30 times. He loved working with children and found his passion in helping children through art therapy. He considered High Roads in Willimantic to be a second family. John was a friend to all who loved his friends and family greatly. His presence will be missed but never forgotten.

In addition to his wife and his parents, John is survived by his cherished son, David; brother, Thomas Mullenix; sister-in-law, Susanna (Esmayler) Requets; nephews, Elan and Abel Requets; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his families’ pets, Appa, Rey and Gizmo. He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A Sharing of Memories will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. Friends and family may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org.
