John Douglas Roberts

John Douglas Roberts, 67, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Diane Roberts, passed away on October 6, 2019. Born on October 28, 1951 in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late John and Marie Roberts. 

John is survived by his sons, Kristofer Roberts and Daniel Roberts; granddaughter, Hailey Roberts; sisters, Donna and Deborah, and extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his siblings, Richard and Darlene Roberts.

Doug was a devoted husband to Diane for over 30 years. His true love for his wife will be carried on in our memories forever. Having grown up in the automotive industry, Doug followed in his father’s footsteps; becoming very successful in the “car business”. He worked for several dealerships throughout his career, the longest tenure at Colonial Toyota. Doug then took his love for sports into play when he opened up a Sports Memorabilia store in Milford. His love for sports passed on to his sons who now are avid sports goers. Doug’s real passion came with his love for antiquities and his “rare finds”. Doug was a fun individual who loved to laugh. 

Mostly he cared about his family and how they were doing almost everyday of his life. He will be missed dearly and will be carried on in his loved ones hearts forever.

Friends and family may call from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2019 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. Interment will follow at Saint Michael Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Ave., Stratford, CT.
