Jordan L. Shapiro, 66, of New Haven, passed away on August 25, 2017 in Boston, MA. Born on April 9, 1951 in Meriden, CT, he was the son of the late Philip and Evelyn Goldstein Shapiro.   

Jordan is survived by his sons, Joshua Shapiro and Zachary Shapiro and partner Kirsten Cooper, M.D.; Allison Shapiro; brother, Roger Shapiro; sister-in-law, Marge Weiner; and his partner, Liz Gallagher.

Jordan graduated from the University of Hartford and earned a Masters at New York University. His career in Health Administration spanned decades including serving as Associate Director of Finance and Administration at John B. Pierce Laboratory. Jordan was actively involved with physical fitness with his family and friends: hiking, biking, weight lifting, cross country skiing and tennis.

A Tribute of Jordan’s Life will be held on Friday, September, 1, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. The family will observe a period of private mourning. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Animal Haven, Inc., 89 Mill Rd., North Haven, CT 06473.
