Joseph Pippa, , 88 of Milford, beloved husband of Ruth (Burgos) Pippa, passed away on September 1 , 2023 . Born on December 4, 1934 in Mount Vernon , NY.

Joe owned and operated Vari Fasteners Inc. for many years before retirement. In his leisure time, he loved to be on the golf course, especially Mill River Country Club in Stratford, where he was an active member. He also loved to be on the water fishing with his family on the Long Island sound or at Indian Field Campground on Gardner Lake taking his family water skiing. The Great Joe Pippa, as many of his friends and family called him , simply lit up any room he was in.

He was avid fan of the New York Giants , he had season tickets and brought the family to many games . He was very fortunate to have witnessed all four of their super bowls. Joe was born with polio and spent a large portion of his childhood in and out of hospitals. He never once used that as an excuse but only as motivation to succeed in anything he did in life. He was an extremely successful business man, owning & operating an aerospace hardware distribution company , Vari Fasteners Inc in Milford.

He was a wonderful husband to his beautiful wife Ruth and the best father to his children.
He loved each and every one of his cherished grandchildren beyond belief.

He was an extremely special man and will be missed by every single person who was blessed to know him. Please rest easy and we will forever love you “THE GREAT JOE PIPPA!"

In addition to his loving wife, Ruth, Joe is survived by his children, Julianne (Michael) Dellipoali, Joby (Kelly) Pippa, David Pippa, and Daniel (Maxine) Dickey ; grandchildren, Max, Kiley, Aubrey, Emily, Julia, and Nicholas ; his brother, Charlie Pippa and extended special family Allison & John Slowikowski & their daughter Olivia .Joe was predeceased by his sister, Lorraine (Duke) Caruso, and sister-in-law, Maryanne Pippa.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford.
