June Louise Chaffin

June Louise Chaffin, 87, of Milford, beloved wife of Stanley Chaffin, passed away on March 2, 2019. June was born on November 8, 1931 in Plattsburgh, NY to the late Beatrice Herrin.

June was compassionate and kind and was always doing good deeds for those around her. One of June’s greatest loves was gardening where she spent many hours planting and tending to her flowers and vegetables. She retired from Milford Hospital after over 15 years where she worked as a dietician.

In addition to her husband, Stanley, June leaves behind her children, Robert Chaffin and his wife Debbie and Thomas Chaffin; grandchildren, Cheryl Nethercott and her husband Brian and Lisa Gregory and her husband Mark; great grandchildren, Tyler and Gavin Nethercott and Ryleigh and Jax Gregory; her brother, Robert Herrin and his wife Terry; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Patricia Sidelinger and her husband Joe.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 p.m. at St. Agnes Church (Precious Blood Parish), 400 Merwin Ave., Milford, CT. Interment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in June’s name may be made to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
