Kathleen Susan (Murphy) Coakley

Kathleen Susan (Murphy) Coakley, 59, of New Haven, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 2, 2018. Kathleen was born July 5, 1958 in Milford, CT, to her parents David W. Murphy and Mary F. Taylor Murphy. Kathleen attended Foran High school where she graduated class of 1976. She also attended Post University where she earned her Associates degree in secretarial studies. Kathleen worked at ADP for many years and was an extremely fast typist, she was very computer savvy. She was also active in her church community at St. Lawrence Parish in Shelton and would help with bookkeeping. Kathleen worked as a Customer Service Supervisor for many years at Webloyalty Inc., which she greatly enjoyed and was well loved by her work family. Kathleen was a proud breast cancer survivor. In her spare time Kathleen liked to volunteer at Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT serving meals on holidays to patient’s family members and loved ones. Kathleen was a caregiver by nature and was always concerned about the wellbeing of those around her. She had a knack for making those around her laugh and feel loved. In her spare time she loved to go to the beach and watch the water or sunbathe, she loved to throw family parties and cook or bake for everyone. Kathleen also loved to crochet and would enjoy making blankets and scarves for everyone in her life and for every occasion.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter Katelyn Coakley of Derby, Connecticut and her fiancé Steve Donofrio Jr., Her sisters Mary Theresa Ryan and Her Husband Mark Ryan of Woodbury, Margaret Murphy of Branford, CT, Madeline Murphy of Keene, New Hampshire. Her brothers Michael Murphy of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Patrick Murphy of Branford, CT, Thomas Murphy and his wife Tracy of Oxford CT. She also leaves behind cousins Maureen Shomsky of Naugatuck, Ronald Shomsky Jr. of West Haven, many beloved nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews, and friends.

She was predeceased by her brother David Murphy and parents David W. and Mary Taylor Murphy.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated Friday, July 13, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT.  Interment will be private. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Kathleen’s name to the Susan G.
