Loretta Marie Paul Goldin, 55, of Milford, beloved wife of Joshua Goldin, passed away on September 15, 2022. She was born on May 19, 1967 in Bridgeport, CT, daughter of Elaine (Nemec) Paul and the late J. Robert Paul.   

Loretta is a graduate of Andrew Warde High School and Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT.  She spent her entire 36-year career working in Accounting at Prudential Annuities, having started at American Skandia while attending college as one of its very first employees before Skandia was purchased by Prudential.  

She was heavily involved with The Girl Scouts of America organization, from her time as a Brownie and continuing through her adult life as a senior leader and volunteer.  Some of her Girl Scout achievements include earning a Gold Award during high school, being a counselor at Camp Katoya, organizing many events including Haunted Hikes, leading workshops, assisting scout troops, participating in several International Camporees, and traveling with Girl Scout troops nationally and internationally.  She served on the executive board of the Girl Scouts of Housatonic Counsel for twelve years, including six years as President. She earned the Thanks Badge as an adult volunteer; she is also a lifetime member of GSUSA. 

Loretta was an avid and accomplished photographer and truly loved every aspect of photography. She was a member of the president's committee at the New England Camera Club Council’s (NECCC) three-day conferences for many years. Her contributions included lending cameras and lenses, introducing speakers, and recently helping with registration and meals for speakers, board members, and committees. She had earned the honorary title of Master Member of NECCC for her dedication to teaching and promotion of photography. Loretta was treasurer of the Milford Camera Club and the CT Association of Photographers. She won many awards from interclub, state, and New England competitions, as well as from the Photographic Society of America, including Best of Show at the Durham and North Haven Agricultural Fairs. Loretta also enjoyed traveling extensively with her husband to focus on photography classes. 

Loretta loved attending hockey games, especially the Sound Tigers, with her husband and friends.

In addition to her husband and mother, Loretta is survived by her siblings, Cindy (John) Cody, Terry (David) Toole, Sharon Paul, Maureen Paul, and Greg (MaryBeth) Paul; her nieces and nephews, Shawn and Christopher Cody; Shannon, Colleen, and Brian Toole; William and Cadence Paul; her aunts and uncles, Rose and Richard Nemec and Barbara Nemec; her step-daughters, Alexandra and Kathryn Goldin; and her very dear friend, Pam Pinto.  Loretta was predeceased by her father, J. Robert ‘Bob’ Paul, and her uncle, John Nemec.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on September 30, 2022 at Saint Ann Church (St. Raphael Parish), 501 Naugatuck Avenue, Milford, CT (meet directly at the church). Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 1530 Bronson Road, Fairfield, CT.  Friends and family may call from 4-8pm on September 29 at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT.
