Louise Mahakian

Louise Mahakian, 95, of Woodbridge, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2019. Born on February 1, 1924 in New Haven, CT, she was the daughter of the late Bedros “Peter” and
Zarouhi (Karaian) Mahakian. 

Louise enjoyed working as a Data Entry Supervisor at the Southern New England Telephone Company in New Haven for over 42 years before retiring in 1986. She lived in West Haven for most of her life and enjoyed caring for her mother, traveling, as well as keeping up with family, neighbors, friends, and local member groups. She was an avid photographer and always had her camera in hand during events.

During the past six years, Louise enjoyed the many activities at The Linden, especially listening to live music, baking, and making jewelry, as well as visits from her nieces and nephews and great nieces. Her family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at The Linden at Woodbridge for all of their excellent care, compassion, and kindness; Louise will be missed
by many.

Louise is survived by her nieces and nephews, Susan (Ron) Rosenberg, Amy (Mike) Esposito, and Steve Mahakian; her great nieces, Erin and Laura Rosenberg, and Emily Esposito; and her cousin, Guldane Mahakian and her son, Peter. In addition to her parents, Louise was predeceased by her brother, Haig (Rosalie) Mahakian.

All services will be private. The family is being compassionately cared for by the staff of CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 N. Broad St., Milford, CT.
