Marianna Nicole Triolo

October 20, 1993 ~ November 28, 2022 (age 29) 29 Years Old

Tribute

Marianna Nicole Triolo, of Milford, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 28th, 2022 in her home, surrounded by her family, after a long fight with ovarian cancer. Marianna, born on October 20th, 1993 in Queens, New York, is survived by her mother, Grace; her father, Alan; younger brother, Stephen; younger sister, Kelly; and sister-in-law, Michelle. Marianna was also a proud dog mom to two energetic pups, Rosie and Rudy.

Marianna thrived on finding new hobbies and interests and was always open to new experiences. Her wide range of hobbies included rock hounding and tumbling, makeup artistry, hiking, taking care of her plants, and traveling - all of which were documented on her TikTok. Her biggest passion, however, was helping people. When she was just 14 years old, Marianna started volunteering at Yale, delivering balloons and gifts to patients. Marianna went on several service trips across the country in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Alaska. Her love of service even took her overseas to Poland. While in college, she taught religious education and tutored other students. During her fight with ovarian cancer, Marianna visited several medical schools to educate students and raise awareness of the early signs and symptoms of the disease.

Marianna attended Seton Hall University, and while studying for her B.S. in nursing, she founded the school’s first ever all-female a cappella group. Marianna landed her dream job as a registered nurse at Yale Smilow Cancer Hospital where she was able to provide phenomenal care, compassion, and respect for her patients and advocate for the needs of those who were traveling a very similar journey to her own.

Everyone who met Marianna, even for just a few moments, can attest to the brightness and love for life she carried with her. She had a presence that made people feel safe and cared for, taught them that it was okay to be different, and brought out the confidence of even the shyest person. Marianna’s strongest attribute was making people laugh and anyone who had the pleasure to meet her was able to leave with a story to tell and an exuberant memory. She could light up any room she walked into like no one else could. Even during the most difficult parts of her illness, Marianna could always find the humor in a situation, more often than not leading to belly laughs. Her smile, her laugh, her faith, and her tenacity made Marianna a beacon of joy and positivity, which will be encapsulated in stories and memories that her family and friends will cherish forever.

Marianna has touched countless lives in her 29 years on Earth, and there is absolutely no doubt that her legacy will continue to touch countless more as people share her story and celebrate her life.
