Marie A. Dingee

Marie A. Dingee, 92, of Milford, Connecticut, beloved wife of the late Ralph Dingee, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.  Born on September 11, 1929 in Bridgeport, Connecticut she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Brezynski) Molchan.

Marie was a proud graduate of Harding High School in Bridgeport.  In addition to caring for her children, she worked at Read’s Department Store in Bridgeport for many years before retiring and enjoying her life with her husband of 63 years, Ralph, and her family.  Ralph and Marie were always available to babysit and spend time with their grandsons and the boys have many fond memories of time spent with them.  She was an excellent cook and baker, much to the delight of her family.  She always looked forward to and enjoyed her trips to the casino with her son, Dennis.  Her guilty pleasure was playing the daily numbers (always 50 cents boxed).  Marie was a fan of the NY Yankees and the Mets, the NY Giants, and UConn basketball.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family.

Marie is survived by her son, Dennis Dingee of New Haven; daughter, LoriAnn Jones (Ron) of Milford; daughter, Jean Saley (Michael) of Milford; grandsons, Eric Radecki (Anne) of Norwalk, Daniel Malerba of West Palm Beach, FL, Patrick Saley of Milford, Thomas Dingee, Jr., of Florida; great granddaughters, Greta and Margo Radecki of Norwalk; and sister, Helen Girardi of Fairfield; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband, Marie was predeceased by her son, Thomas, and infant daughter, Patricia.  She was also predeceased by her brothers Nicholas, John, and Peter Molchan (and their spouses); her sister, Olga Cassidy (John); her brother-in-law, Michael Girardi; and brother-in-law, John Dingee (Helen).

The family is being compassionately cared for by the staff at Cody-White Funeral Home 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. 

Friends and family may gather for a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Ann's Church (Saint Raphael Parish), 501 Naugatuck Avenue, Milford, CT 06460. (PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). An interment will take place at Saint Michael Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Avenue, Stratford, CT 06615.
