Mary Varrone

Mary Varrone, 91, beloved wife of the late Dominic Varrone, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2018 entering into the arms of Jesus.  She was born on July 9, 1927, in Bridgeport, CT.  and born again receiving Christ as her Saviour in February of 1967. 

Mary is survived by her sons, Richard and his wife, Sharon and James and his wife, Cindy; her grandchildren, Kristopher and his wife Tina, Melissa, Jessica, and Matthew; her great-grandchildren, Nico, Noah and Nathan; and her niece, Patricia.

During the later years of her life, Mary was a lunch monitor for Pumpkin Delight School in Milford, CT.  She enjoyed serving the children and often told them stories to encourage and demonstrate her love toward them.  She was an active volunteer at the White Oak Baptist Church.  Over the years she sung in the choir, taught ladies Bible studies, helped with Vacation Bible School and was always faithful praying for the needs of others and doing all she could to tell people about Jesus.  One of her favorite verses in the Bible was Acts 16:31 “…Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the White Oak Baptist Church, 5344 Main St. Putney, Stratford, CT 06614 (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). A Funeral Service will take place at 10 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at King’s Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry St., Milford, CT 06460. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to White Oak Baptist Church.
