Mary Ann Connors, 84, of Milford, beloved wife of the late James Connors Jr., passed away peacefully on July 25, 2022. Born on October 24, 1937 in Milford, she was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Dooling.
Mary Ann thoroughly enjoyed weekly ceramics since 1979. She was heavily involved in volunteering at Saint Gabriel Church and School. Throughout the years she became the family daycare for her nieces and nephews which made eleven children under the age of 7 including her own five in her house at times. Mary Ann was excellent at time management; she was always there as a spectator and number one supporter for all her children’s sporting events and was the Scout Master for all three of her sons. She enjoyed working at Bridges until her retirement after more than 40 years of dedicated service.
Mary Ann is survived by her children, Mary Beth (Jeff) Trammell, Kathy (Wayne) Powers, Jim (Melinda) Connors, Patrick Connors, and Tom (Charisse) Connors; grandchildren, Brittany and Ashley Powers, Jimmy and Kevin Connors, and Jordan (Mike) Unger; sister, Patricia Kallmann; ten nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her sisters, Joan Ball and Betty Anderson.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Gabriel Church, 26 Broadway, Milford (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Burial will follow at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry St., Milford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
