Mary Jane “Janie” Jennings, longtime resident of Stamford, CT, beloved wife of Deacon Paul Jennings, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Dunmore, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Catherine Oliver McDonough.
Janie was an alumnus of Marywood University; aside from her professional successes, she was a ‘friend’s friend’ who lived her spirituality every day. She was very active in her parish communities and was there for anybody that needed her. She enjoyed volunteering her time at the St. Joseph Parenting Center in Stamford. Janie touched countless lives and she will be greatly missed.
In addition to her loving husband, Paul, Janie is survived by her cherished children, Paul Jennings, Jr., and Julia Jennings; her grandpup, Maddie; her siblings, Nancy McDonough, Patrick (Angela) McDonough, Joseph (Gina) McDonough, Dorothy (Richard) Eibach, Jeanne (William) Maguire, and James McDonough; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to express their gratitude to the newly found family in the loving and compassionate staff at Norwalk Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Interment will be private.
