I was so sorry to read of Miriam's passing. What a wonderful person, a talented player, a terrific teacher, and a loving human being. I played with her in the Symphony, she taught my daughter Suzuki violin, and she played at that same daughter's wedding 20 years later . She will be missed.

I got to know and admire Miriam when we were both playing with the Greater Bridgeport Symphony and teaching at SHU. We played chamber music for fun and profit and had lots of fun when we took a trip to Mexico in 1992 with the Connecticut Chamber Orchestra. She was always so kind to me when she found out I had young children and was juggling a music career at the same time. We talked a lot about our families and laughed a lot. She was a fine musician and an inspiration to me with her "just keep charging ahead" attitude. I loved her taste in bright colored cloths and I miss her. My sincere condolences to her family, and, Carla, thanks for calling me.
