Nadine Halapin, 50, of Milford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 5, 2021. Nadine was born in Bridgeport, CT on March 31, 1971 to Patricia DeCava and the late Paul DeCava.
Nadine was always excited for family summer vacations at Misquamicut Beach and staying at the Pleasant View Inn. Laying on the beach sunbathing for hours was a favorite pastime. Being in comfortable clothing was always a necessity, but perfectly matched with her collection of scarves. Nadine’s children were her world and she fiercely loved and protected them, calling them her “cubs”. Nadine also loved all of her pets over the years; namely, the multiple cats and rabbits, but especially her dogs, Banshee, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge, and Finny.
Nadine leaves behind her daughter, Destiny Halapin and her partner Nico Rosario; son, Trevor Courtney; mother, Patricia DeCava; siblings, Edward Shell, Teresa (John) Woods, Edward (Kim) Moore, Jr., and Eric DeCava; nieces and nephews, Nicole, Garrett and Hayden Woods, Gabrielle, Angela, Brandy and Aron Moore and Justin DeCava; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and her former partner, Tim Courtney. Nadine was predeceased by her father, Paul DeCava; brother, Aron DeCava; and former husband, Richard Halapin.
Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 5 p.m.to 8 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry St., Milford, CT.
