Paul Bonsangue, 80, of Milford, beloved husband of Toni Bonsangue, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2021. Paul was born on November 6, 1940 in Canicatti, Sicily to the late Salvatore and Teresa Bonsangue.
Paul was a fantastic dancer who was known for breaking out in a merengue but could also move perfectly to music of the 50’s. He spent Sunday afternoons watching sports, especially rooting for the NY Jets and Mets. Paul enjoyed Italian food and the few trips he took back home to Sicily were near and dear to his heart. Above all else, Paul loved being a husband, father and grandfather. He cherished the time spent with his family, and was entirely devoted to them.
In addition to his wife, Toni, Paul is survived by his sons, Salvatore (Anabelle) Bonsangue and Louis (Kristin) Bonsangue; grandchildren, Juliet and Michael Bonsangue; siblings, Domenica Buggé and Joseph Bonsangue; and his best friend, Anthony Chipello. Paul was predeceased by his sister, Dina Cancialosi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Church (Precious Blood Parish), 70 Gulf St., Milford, CT (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, www.michaeljfox.org or Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405. The family has been compassionately cared for by the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT.
