Priscilla Clement (Harris) Gallagher

Priscilla Clement Gallagher, 70, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2022. Born on August 22, 1951 in New Haven, CT, she was the daughter of Dorothy (Casman) Harris.

A graduate of Hamden High School and student of Gateway Community College, Priscilla was an incredibly talented and passionate artist who saw the world through a creative lens. Her joys included painting, drawing, knitting and crafting. She had a unique ability to turn ordinary items into beautiful art which she selflessly shared with her family. Priscilla loved spending time outdoors in her garden and was quite knowledgeable in the world of botany. She also had a passion for storytelling, which was manifested in her great love of movies and hours spent entertaining her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews telling fantasy tales. Her creative passions also included the culinary arts. Priscilla was a talented baker and cake decorator whose creations were always welcome at holiday gatherings.       

Priscilla is survived by her three loving children, Carrolyn Izzo and her husband Emanuele; Katharine Bittner and her husband Josh; and son Chris Gallagher.  She is also survived by her siblings Deborah Chisholm, Melinda Quinn, Carlton Harris, Michael Harris, and Jonathan Harris as well her grandchildren Emanuele and Jacob Izzo, Reese and Rordan Bittner, Mason Gallagher, and many wonderful nieces and nephews. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 21, 2022 at 2:00pm at Mary Taylor United Methodist Church.  168 S. Broad St., Milford, CT.
