Richard David Kalinowski, 74, of Oxford, beloved husband of Mary Ann Kalinowski, passed away April 15, 2021. Rick was born on August 31, 1946 in Bridgeport, CT to the late Stanley and Stella Kalinowski.
After graduating from Bunnell High School, he and Mary Ann lived in Stratford for 37 years before moving to Oxford. He worked for many years for Moore Tool, NASDAQ, and several pharmaceutical companies. During that time, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Sacred Heart University. He was an avid fan of the New York Giants, Mets, and UConn men’s and women’s basketball teams. In addition to being active in his church, he coached basketball and softball teams. He enjoyed playing poker, golf, and especially spending time with his family and friends.
Rick is survived by his wife Mary Ann (Dinan), his children Jim (Eileen) Kalinowski from Amherst New Hampshire, Tom (Kim) Kalinowski from Harrisburg Pennsylvania, and Jill (Sean) Degnan from Milford Connecticut; his grandchildren Meaghan, Julia, Haley, Stella, and Joseph, and many nieces and nephews.
Rick was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Stella (Swintlicki) Kalinowski, his brother Walter (Arlene) Kalinowski, and sister Jean (Jim) Bachman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
