Rita Agnes (Gallagher) Gaul

On November 27, 2021, Rita Gaul was received into the loving arms of Jesus. Rita was 89 years old and the wonderful mother of five children, 14 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Rita raised her family in a cozy beach neighborhood in Milford, Connecticut where she truly enjoyed hosting large outdoor barbecues with her many family members and friends and tending her rose garden. Rita worked as a Secretary and Office Manager of the family business, Gaul Construction, and was a faithful member of Berean Assembly of God Church in Milford. Upon retiring, Rita and her husband Bill moved to Port Charlotte, Florida where she made many forever friends. Rita was involved with a music ministry in her church. She loved singing in the choir and hosting Bible studies in her home. Rita traveled with her church to Jamaica to assist in the building project for housing orphan children. Rita loved to spend her time quilting and crafting. More than anything Rita loved her family and her friends. Her teachings of love kindness and integrity will be kept with us forever. She will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts.

Rita is survived by her children, Ronald Gaul and his wife Bernadette Gaul, Karen Myers, MaryEllen (Meg) Gaul and Donald Gaul; her sister, Joan McCarthy; her grandchildren, Carey Gaul, Kara Talavera and her husband Michael Talavera, Kelly Gaul, Kevin Gaul and his wife Kayla Gaul, Adam Rushworth, Daniel Gaul and his wife Megan Gaul, Samantha Gaul, Emelia Gaul, Julia Gaul, Ronald Gaul, Shawn Gaul, Kathryn Campo and her husband Brandon Campo, Carole DesOrmeau, Allison Bisceglia and her husband Christian Bisceglia and Christian Barone;  her great-grandchildren, Matthew Campo, Maggie Gaul, Emily Campo, Ellie Gaul, Mason Campo, Emery Bisceglia, Rosalyn Bisceglia, Carter Gaul, Carolina Gaul, Joseph Talavera, and Oliver Talavera; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, William Gaul Sr.; her parents, Thomas Gallagher and MaryEllen Gallagher Jennings; her son, William Gaul Jr.; her sisters, Edna Baird, Gertrude Rodgers, Theresa Crouth, and Veronica Gallagher; and her brothers, Donald Gallagher, Thomas Gallagher, Lawrence Gallagher, Robert Gallagher, and Richard Gallagher.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, December 17th, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. A Mass will be held on Saturday, December 18th, 2021 at 9 a.m. Saint Mary Church (Precious Blood Parish), 70 Gulf St., Milford, CT.
