Robert Lewis Wilson Broughton

Robert Lewis Wilson Broughton, of Milford, CT, passed peacefully on July 6, 2018 at CT Hospice. Robert was born on August 30, 1927, in Scranton, PA, moving to Milford, CT in 1941 where he resided for his life.

Robert was a WWII Veteran serving in the Navy from May 1945 to August 1946 earning numerous medals. Robert returned to Milford raising his six children with his wife Helen. He was a member of the Ansantawae Masonic Lodge in Milford for over 65 years. He was also an avid bowler, bowling in many leagues with his wife and friends.

Robert was predeceased by his wife, Helen Broughton and his oldest son, Bruce Broughton (Jeannie). Robert is survived by his sister, Rachel Mackey; his brother, Curtis Broughton (Gail); his sons, Mark Broughton (Barbara) and Robert Broughton; his daughters, Patricia Maurer (Erich), Brenda Broughton (Jack Weidman) and Sandra Quinn (Rick); and his 14 grandchildren with many great grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to call on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. A Masonic Service and Military Honors will commence at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
