Robert "Bobby" John Comer

Robert John Comer (Rod Ice), 79, of Milford, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2021.  Born on August 2, 1941 in Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of the late John and Annie (Guerin) Comer. 

The original plan for Rod Ice’s departure was to let him go on a walk about on a cold winter’s day with a nice scotch and pull a “Here’s Johnny.”  Obviously, God had different plans after his cocktail party on Friday night with his closest friends. 

The best way to remember Bobby is to pour a road soda, listen to a Johnny Mathis song, put on a cowboy hat and jump in a kayak, dance, dance, dance, hug someone and make it count. 

Since this family has an attachment disorder, Rod Ice is going to be cremated and continue his weekly cocktail hour with us.  If you want to celebrate Rod Ice, since he decided the cocktails up above have a better pour, please raise one for him and tell someone that you love them.  Make sure it’s a good pour and with someone you love, because in Rod Ice’s own words, “Nothing is more important than family”.
