Dear Lee and Denny,
My love is with you and your family. I don’t remember your father as much as I remember Laura. But he raised two amazing women and for that I am thankful.

Just prior to reading his obituary I had been reflecting back on my basketball career with Coach Lund at Milford High in the early fifties. He was patient, generous and kind in nurturing my very modest basketball aptitude; qualities that I found to be rare in subsequent coaches. I took my lessons learned from "Pug' (as we MHS players referred to him amongst ourselves) and parlayed them into a varsity career at Yale, but more importantly I carried away basic information about how to be a leader and a helper that has been fundamental to my career as a mental health professional.

Denny,
Your dad was a great educator and a person I respected. When he was the principal at MHS, I had a few office visits with him. Pete Axten and I would stop by his house and visit during our high school years. What a great man!
Sorry for your loss.

Mr. Lund was MHS Principal when I attended 1969-72. I always knew that his gruff exterior contained a heart of gold, and his professionalism was unmatched. My step-mother's first husband, the late Robert Pinco, was a Science teacher at MHS in the early 1960s, and I know both he and my step-mom, Sybil (Pinco) Lisansky, were very fond of Roy. I send heartfelt condolences on her behalf, as well as my step-sister, Susan Pinco (MHS '71), and myself. Roy Lund was a good man, who served his country and his community with honor, and had a positive effect on thousands of young lives. RIP.

Dear Lund family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I hope memories can help support you as you cope with this loss of your father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother...and I will share mine memory as a tribute to his fine example as an educator!
Mr Lund was a great man, a principal who left a legacy in how he taught and how he managed. I remember him as my "night school" teacher, when he taught me typing. I had a lot of trouble not watching the keys as I typed, even now I am looking at those keys, and I can't help but smile a bit to remember how Mr. Lund would come over and tap my shoulder and tell me to "Try not to look, but if you have to, it's OK. You'll learn eventually." Well, Mr. Lund, I still look at the keys, but as an educator for the NJDOE now, I hold the tender tone of that lesson in my heart and I pass on that respect to those who have trouble learning; to the students with disabilities and the teachers who teach them that I work with each day. Respecting learners as they struggle to learn is the most important work of teaching!
Thank you, Mr. Lund, for that lesson. We share a birthday...I just found that out as I read your obituary...so I will remember you especially as I pass each new year and I will gratefully offer a prayer to the man who taught me to teach with empathy...God bless you and thank you.

Lee, Dennie, Ambere and your whole family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I remember your Dad and Grandfather to be a very quiet, soft spoken man the times that I saw him. What a full life he had and always involved with his family.. Please accept my sincere condolences. Love to you all.

Dear Lee and Denny,
It is with great sadness that I read of your Dad’s passing. He will always be in my heart known as My Uncle “PUG”. Such great memories of a kind man who served as Vice Principle at MHS during my high school years. Your Mom and Dad were “highlights” in my life. Always loving and kind. They each were wonderful role models and such fun! May you find loving memories to ease some of the pain.
Sincerely,
Debora Aronson O’Brien

Denny and family...
I had the utmost respect for your Dad! It was an interesting relationship since my Mother taught at MHS! I will sadly pass this information on to my Mother as the two of them were quite friendly during their years at MHS!
