Rudolph "Rudy" J. Martaus, Jr.

Rudolph "Rudy" Joseph Martaus, Jr., (also known to many as Mike), 78, of Milford, beloved husband of 30 years to Arlene Martaus, passed away on February 5, 2021. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Rudolph Sr. and Gertrude Martaus. 

Rudy had a successful career of 43 years of railroad service at Metro North. He was a kind and gentle soul who loved his family, including his feline companions.

Along with his wife, Rudy leaves behind his sister, Barbara Pitt; nephews, Fred (wife Kim) Pitt and Michael Pitt; and cousins, Laura Maine, Carole Rahmlow, Walter, Joey, Ron, Mark, and Edmond Kowalski, and Deborah McGran. He also leaves behind Matthew (wife Megan) Rosano, Marcus (wife Laura) Rosano, and Mary (husband Tony) Franco whom he loved as his own as well as their eight children.

Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or to a charitable organization of your preference.
