Sean Michael Healey

April 3, 1985 ~ December 2, 2021 (age 36) 36 Years Old

Tribute

Sean Michael Healey, 36, of New Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 2, 2021. Born on April 3, 1985 in New Haven, he was the cherished son of Bob and Chris Healey.

Sean was a graduate of Notre Dame of West Haven High School in 2003 where he was captain of the varsity tennis team. He then moved on with many close friends to continue his education at Iona College where he graduated in 2007. After school, Sean went on to work as a charismatic bartender at Delaney’s Bar & Restaurant in Westville where he knew everyone’s name and everyone loved him. After the devastating fire at Delaney’s in 2014, Sean then went on to work as a rep for Dichello Distributors where he brought his same charisma and personal touch. Most recently, he returned to his home at Delaney’s after it reopened and he was back where he belonged, making people smile and serving beverages as New Haven’s 33rd best bartender. Sean enjoyed all sports, especially watching his Broncos with his brother Todd and making his annual run to Montreal with his brother Ryan & friends. His other passion was for the golfing where he never turned down an opportunity to play nine with friends or enter into a charitable tournament. In addition to sports, Sean never minded a run to the casino with family or friends, but most of all he never turned down an opportunity to have a “Brothers Night” where every time together was a special one. He lived every day to its fullest and was always there for family and friends when in need; “Everyday was a new day, a new adventure.”

In addition to his parents, Bob and Chris, Sean is survived by his brother, Ryan Healey (Patty) of South Windsor and his brother, Todd Healey of New Haven; also, his niece, Kelsey and nephew, Tommy whom he loved very much, and many other uncles, aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Paul & Marjorie Farren, William & Emily Healey and his beloved significant other, Sarah Bajda.
