Spiser “Joe” S. Jaser, 80, a longtime resident of Milford, beloved husband of 44 wonderful years to Sultaneh “Sue” Jaser, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on April 28, 2018. Spiser was born on June 22, 1937 in Birzeit, Palestine, to the late Salamon and Zarifah Jaser.
Spiser came to the U.S. in 1952 and was the proud owner of Joe’s Carpet in Milford, for 40 years. He was known for speaking his mind and enjoyed watching boxing, reading, and especially T.V. documentaries about history. Spiser loved being a devoted family person which he enjoyed with his surviving wife, Sue; children, Sal Jaser, Dina Jaser and Lisa (Thomas) Lanese; and grandchildren, Raquel, Nicholas, Carter, Salvi and Malanya. He was constantly surrounded by his loving sister, Rachel Kaoud; and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Harb Jaser and brother-in-law, Wadi “Willy” Kaoud.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew Episcopal Church, 283 Bridgeport Ave., Milford, CT. Interment will follow at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry St., Milford, CT. Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT.
