Susan B. Pirner

Susan B. Pirner (Bennett), 75, longtime resident of Milford, beloved wife of Richard Pirner, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2021.  Born on March 1, 1946 in Middletown, NY, she was daughter of the late Charles and Grace Bennett.  

Susan grew up in Garden City, NY and graduated from GC High School in 1964. She proceeded to attend St. Clair’s Nursing School before eventually taking a position as secretary for Doubleday Publishing. Susan enjoyed sewing, collecting dolls and building doll houses and miniature furniture, reading cozy mysteries, gardening, bird watching, painting landscapes and taking in the stray cats that would find their way to her. She was also a member of the Milford Republican Town Committee for many years.

Along with her husband, Susan leaves behind her son, Edward Pirner; and many extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Lawrence Bennett.

A walk through wake will take place on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford. Masks will be required and social distancing enforced. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Susan’s memory to your local no kill animal shelter.
