Teresa M. Evanich, 91, of Woodbridge, beloved wife of the late John Evanich, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2017. Born on February 6, 1926 in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Josephine Malagisi.   

Teresa enjoyed painting, drawing, and ceramics as well as reading. She loved to dance to music and was always working on a crossword puzzle. She treasured her family and cherished every moment she had with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. 

Teresa is survived by her children, Peggy (John) Bruno of Milford, John (Barbara) Evanich of Wallingford, Joseph Evanich of Naugatuck, and Charles (Leslie) Evanich of Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Melissa, Christina, Joe, Brian, Michelle, Kristen, and Jeff; great-grandchildren, Jayson, Arianna, Joey, Brianna, Mikey, Michael, Timmy, Connor, Grace, Karston, Tyler, Sofia, Mason, and Max; son-in-law, John Dahl of West Haven; and several nieces and nephews. Teresa was predeceased by her daughter, Joanne Dahl; sisters, Mary Holden and Ann Flannagan; and brother, Victor Malagisi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Interment will follow at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry St., Milford. Friends and family may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460.
