Walter Joseph Smith, Jr.

Walter Joseph Smith, Jr., 61, of Milford, beloved husband of Pam Black-Smith, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2021. Walter was born on December 25, 1959, in New Haven, CT to the late Walter and Mildred Smith, Sr.

Walter worked for 35 years at Hobson and Motzer as a tool maker/tool room supervisor. He really loved the years he spent there, and had strong friendships with the people he worked with. He was a handyman and jack of all trades. Walter was a wonderful husband and stepfather; a one-of-a-kind man, he will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

In addition to his wife, Pam, Walter leaves behind his children, Raymond Black (Sara Thurber) and Sarah Black (CJ Siedlarz); siblings, Michael Smith, Maureen (Jim) Gardner, Richard (Kristen) Smith and Kathleen (Mark) Anthony; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He also leaves his dogs, Scooter (his favorite), Stella and Sabrina, but was predeceased by Suzie and Samantha.
