William E. Connors, Jr., 88, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Connors, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2018. William was born on September 16, 1930 in Bridgeport to the late William, Sr. and Mae Connors.
Bill was a corpsman in the Navy during the Korean War. He began his career at SNET as a lineman working his way up to manager of Fairfield County. Once Bill retired, he started volunteering at the Beth-El Shelter in Milford and Habitat for Humanity in Bridgeport. He had a passion for wood working, often making toys for his beloved grandchildren. He was also an active member in the adult Ed classes for woodworking, always looking to perfect his craft. Bill was happiest when surrounded by his family and completely adored his grandchildren. He loved cheering them on during their sporting events and was so proud of all their accomplishments.
Bill is survived by his children, Maureen (Tony) Raccio, Ellen Connors and John Connors; and his grandchildren, John Connors, Jr. and Anthony and Nora Raccio.
The family would like to thank New Haven Home Dialysis for their constant support and care of Bill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford, CT (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford, CT. Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT.
