William Franklin Lang, Jr., 78, of Milford, CT passed away peacefully on June 26, 2019. Born on February 21, 1941 in Columbus, OH, he was the son of the late William F. Lang Sr. and Elizabeth M. Lang.
Bill grew up in Fairfield, CT. He was a gifted athlete participating in football, track, basketball, baseball and softball. He graduated from Fairfield Prep and was captain of the Football team. He was selected to MBIAC all-star football team and was the MBIAC Shot Put champion. He was selected to the 1958 New Haven Register All-State Football team and also selected to several All-American football teams that year.
He attended the University of Virginia, and played football and track.. After graduating in 1963, he played football for the Providence, RI Steamrollers, and also the Milford, CT Rockets. In 1970 he started his career in the international moving industry and retired in 1997.
Bill is survived by his beloved son, William F. Lang, III of Milford, CT, his sister, Helen Rondini and her husband Ronald of Shelton, CT, his brother John Lang and his life-partner, Suzanne Novik of Weston, CT, and his brother Robert Lang and his wife Paula of St. Augustine, FL. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces & nephews. Services will be private.
