William John Witteman

William John Witteman “Bill”, 78, of Derby, beloved husband of Carol (Lisak) Witteman, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on July 27, 2021. Born on September 21, 1942 in New Haven, CT, he was the son of the late Charles and Anna (Cappella) Witteman.   

Bill proudly served with the United States Navy from 1961-1965 as a Communications Technician, with top-secret clearance, in Taiwan and Hawaii.  He was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed playing golf and cards with the guys.  

In addition to his wife, Carol, Bill is survived by his children, Susan (Jason) Baillargeon, and Stephen (Jenniferlee) Witteman; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Lynch and Avery Baillargeon, and Stephen, Jr. and Matthew Witteman; his brother, Charles B. Witteman; and his niece and nephew, Lesley Zinsky and John Witteman.
