William "Bill" Adams

William Joseph Adams, 83, from Milford, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 27, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Melanie Adams. They shared 48 years of marriage together.  

Born in Dublin, Ireland, as was always evident in his lovely Irish brogue, he was the son of Victor and Kathleen Adams. Bill worked at Bristol Meyers Squibb in Stamford for over 30 years. He was a parishioner of St. Ann’s church in Milford and was deeply devoted to his faith.  Before his Parkinson’s started to advance he enjoyed his weekly visits to the Gaelic American club in Fairfield where he had been a member.  

He enjoyed watching countless soccer games, listening to Irish music and get-togethers with his family.

Bill is predeceased by his parents, sisters Patricia Adams and Maureen McLaughlin a brother Frederick Adams and survived by his sister Emily Haag.  

He will be lovingly remembered by his proud children John Adams, Andrew Adams, Mark Adams and his wife Joanna, his daughter Jennifer Lenz and her husband Michael; his cherished grandchildren, Annabel Adams, Lucy Adams, Cooper William Lenz, and Avery Lenz; and many loving nieces and nephews.
 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Ann Church (Saint Raphael Parish) 400 Naugatuck Ave., Milford. Interment will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford. Friends and family may call from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. that morning at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Beth-El Shelter at http://www.bethelmilford.org/.
