William "Bill" M. Blotney

William M. Blotney, 71, lifelong resident of Milford, loving husband of Patricia C. Blotney, passed away August 27, 2018. Bill was born on August 10, 1947 in Milford, CT, the son of the late Chester and Helen Blotney.

Bill was a graduate of Milford High School, class of 1965. He was the current president of the Wallingford Rod and Gun Club, the past president of the Housatonic Fly Fishermen’s Association and Milford Striped Bass Club and a member of the Thaddeus Kosciuszko Society of Milford. Bill was a man who loved all things outdoors, including fishing, hunting and boating. Two of his favorite places were at his cabin in New York and Fishing Creek Outfitters in North Carolina. He took pride in his grandsons, Cole and Cooper, especially since they inherited their Pops’s love of fishing. He was a lover of all dogs, especially his faithful companion, Raider. Bill enjoyed relaxing with some bourbon and a good cigar, surrounded by his family and friends.

Bill leaves behind his two sons, Eddie and Jason and his wife Heather; his grandsons, Cole and Cooper; his sister, Cindy McBath and her husband Rich; his uncle, Walter Dudzinski and his wife Maryann; his sister-in-law, Maureen Blotney; his mother-in-law, Esther Condon; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and numerous friends from all walks of life. Bill was predeceased by his brother, Paul.

Friends and family may call on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. with a funeral service to commence at 6:45 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. Interment will be private. In lieu flowers, please consider making a contribution to a charity of one’s choice.
