I would like to give my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Irene Shepard. I did not know her personally, but I am sure that she was dearly loved and will be sorely missed. All too many today can attest to the sadness and pain felt at the death of a loved one. Family and friends can provide a measure of comfort, but God also takes notice of your sadness and cares about you personally. (1 Peter 5:7) God has promised that soon, death will be only a distant memory. (Isaiah 25:8) We can look forward to enjoying life again with our loved ones who have died. (John 5:28, 29) I hope that these thoughts will provide a measure of comfort in this time of sadness.

Mrs. Shepard was a wonderful woman like a second mother to me growing up. I spent many a day over her house. She was always welcoming, always smiling, caring and fun! It was nice to visit with her a few years ago and to catch up. Sympathies to her daughter Sue my best friend growing up and her son Bob and her grandchildren. I know she will be greatly missed but you have wonderful memories.
