Words can't describe the sorrow that I'm feeling now that you are gone cousin. I'm so glad that we really took time to get to know each other. You were a great guy. You made me laugh when I was going though losing my Dad. Family I know God has welcomed another new angel and I know my Dad is hugging and taking care of his nephew right now. Aunt Betty-Ann, Uncle John, and Dale, Dexter loved and appreciated all of your love and support. He told me so, he said " I couldn't ask for a better Mother, Father, or Brother. Well done! You all are in my prayers. Love Monique Moore

I was deeply saddened by the news of Dexter's loss. I have many fond memories of this kindhearted man. A "gentle giant" in the truest sense of the word. May he rest in peace and my prayers go out to his family.

Dexter,

I had the honor to know for a while.
A beautiful heart, mischievous smile.
More than one thing, a friend to see,
No matter you weren't assigned to me.

Circumstance had me meet brother Dale,
Mother's love, yes, she prevails.
Father, wife, and children too.
Love abound this life for you.

Now God has opened heavens door,
And we will hear your voice no more.
But here in memory and in heart,
Once souls meet they need never part.

Thanks for all you taught me friend,
Until that day we meet again.
Forever, always wish you best,
In God's arms now you shall rest.

Love to Mom, Dad, Dale and all those who miss you now. To know you is to miss you.

Dexter from your Freshman year (33 yrs ago), to our graduations. Your fraternity dinner dance, Charlies, Boppers The star for our Dj days. You were there for the birth of my children, the birth of your daughter , I remember you had me come over to your house and help you with her (she was teething). I took you for your first legal drink at 21 carrying you to my little blue plymoth horizon lol. All the dancing from stroking, Paradise by the dashboard light with James and Charles and all our family and friends. All the kareoke, soo many fun laughable times. Our quiet deep conversation times, wipe the tears times then make each other laugh times. You and Dale being my "bodyguards"", my personal twin towers lol. My wedding and my cousins weddings, your wedding, though I wished I could have worn the tuxes with you and the boyz, I was completly honored that Renee had allowed me to share that day with you. All of these memories and so may more we shared are some of the best times of my life and I was blessed that we shared so many. Thank you for all of these precious times. Im going to miss you love you lots. Always Mannon

Words escape me but, I'll try...I was in 10th grade, Dexter was in 9th when we met at Jonathan Law.
This person..right from the start..seemed to have a light that made everything brighter. Even when he was having a bad day for some reason, he was always wanting to make others feel better.
A quality in him that never went away, or even faded, over the years.
He attended my wedding and, we were at his. My wife loved him from the moment of introduction.
Now, the angels can. Nothing is perfect so, even they must have down days. Now...they have Dexter Holder.....They are very lucky.
