Richard Scinto, age 83, Milford resident, beloved father and widower, passed away at Milford Hospital on Thursday, July 24th, 2014. Born in Bridgeport (1930) to Luca and Lucia Scinto, Richard is a former U.S. Marine and veteran of the Korean War. Richard pursued a teaching degree after his service in the military. A teacher for many years in the Bridgeport school system (a job he was dedicated to and enjoyed very much), Richard later advanced to the Bridgeport Board of Education before retiring in the late eighties. Richard was a past Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus (Tinto Council)... an association he was very proud of. An avid movie buff and fan of science fiction books, Richard also had a fondness for history… especially important wars and battles throughout the ages.

Richard leaves behind an extended family who he loved dearly, and is certain to have already joined his wife in a peaceful afterlife.
