Thomas Andrew Johnson, 56, of West Haven, died suddenly on Monday, March 20, 2017. Born in Milford on May 27, 1960, he was the son of the late Frank and Victoria B. Johnson.

Tom was a graduate of Foran High School and Johnson and Wales University, with a degree in Culinary Arts. He was a long time employee of the West Haven Board of Education and a devoted fan of the New York Mets and Minnesota Vikings. A loyal friend, he was always willing to help someone in need. Fondly known as “Uncle T”, Tom adored his nieces. He had a special love for his family, rock music, and sports, which led him to become an avid reader and collector of sports and rock memorabilia.    

Tom was the beloved brother of Victoria-Jo (Joseph) Iuteri, Donna (Jack) Buckley, and Frank (Lynne) Johnson; loving uncle to Jennifer (Kevin Bowerman) Iuteri, Lindsay, Shannon and Jamie Buckley, and Monica, Holly and Corinne Johnson. He will never be forgotten.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 1 p.m. at St. Agnes Church, 400 Merwin Ave., Milford, CT (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Legionaries of Christ at www.regnumchristi.org. The family is being compassionately cared for by the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT.
