I had the pleasure of being Dr. Pulito's student at Fairfield University in the mid-70's. His genuine warmth, easy-going manner and sense of humor endeared him to all of his students and made the studying of organic chemistry less intimidating and downright enjoyable. Dr. Pulito had a knack for reaching his students by explaining difficult concepts in laymen's terms and had the patience to explain it again, if necessary. Despite his brilliance and insight into chemistry he remained humble and totally approachable. I know, from a personal standpoint, that Dr. Pulito was a major influence in my decision to become a chemistry teacher (35 years) instead of pursuing medical studies. He just seemed to be having so much fun doing it that I knew it would be a fulfilling career. He was an good man...yes, a true gentleman and scholar if there ever was one. He's to a good long life. May he rest in peace. He's probably lecturing the chemistry angels on how "those darn electrons just love to attack those double bonds!".

Marie & Virginia, I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I have known your whole family since we were kids. Aldo was one of my all time favorite persons. He was just lovely - quiet and unassuming and so smart. He was a great guy! Much love to you and prayers. With deepest sympathy on your loss. Anita
