I first met Richie twelve years ago when I entered the world of LTL trucking at New England Motor Freight. He must have seen something in me that prompted him to educate me in the ways of the industry and NEMF. He provided valuable tips on handling a tractor trailer and how to best accomplish our nightly mission of moving freight from one terminal to the next. He became a good friend and confidant. When illness forced him to climb out of the truck for good, he told me just how very much he missed the job every time we talked. I will miss him, but I am relieved that he is no longer suffering physically and emotionally. RIP Richie and know that you will not be forgotten. Nor will I forget his many memorable sayings, such as "It's not just a job, but an adventure!" Great work, Driver...adios.

My deepest condolences & sympathies to Richie's family. I 1st met Richie in the early eighties as he was a close friend of my brother, Rooster. Many fun times together we enjoyed, whether holiday picnics & rides together. Rich was a true friend & brother who would stay in touch as I had moved & we'd catch up on life. He loved breaking my stones calling back in the day when the Giants played the 'Boys, I always expected that call. He will be sadly missed by many & loved by all that knew him. R.I.P bro till we meet again. HFFH

I met Grover in 73 on leave from the Army at our Huns clubhouse and again in 74 when I got out. We saw each other from time to time over the years. Gruffy on the outside, all heart, love and brother on the inside. He was a good man, loyal friend, warm hearted. Gave more than he ever should have to many and asked nothing in return except to be accepted. He introduced me to my wife 26years ago. Mentored me on truck driving when I started. I saw him a few hours before he passed and told him I loved him. Broke my heart to see him like that. I will miss his calls, our talks and laughs. RIP brother. HFFH
